Faculty & Staff
GW faculty and staff play an essential role in preventing sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. GW faculty and staff also play a crucial role in responding appropriately when sex discrimination occurs within our community. Students are part of our community for a few years at a time, but faculty and staff provide the consistency that is crucial to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at GW.
Faculty & Staff Support
Title IX protects faculty and staff from sex discrimination. If you have experienced a form of sex discrimination, including, but not limited to, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, or stalking, there are resources available to support you.
Reporting Responsibilities
As a faculty or staff member, you may have reporting responsibilities when you know about conduct that may reasonably constitute any form of sex discrimination involving a member of the GW community. This includes, but is not limited to sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, or stalking.
Protective Environments
In addition to fulfilling your reporting responsibilities as a Designated Reporter, there are a number of ways faculty and staff can help create protective environments across campus.
Mandatory Faculty & Staff Training
All faculty and staff are required to participate in annual Title IX Training by completing the Anti-Discrimination & Title IX Basics for Faculty and Staff.
